If you have ever considered whether or not to buy Kyrenia property you may have investigated some of the areas of interest in the region. I've previously listed details of the Castle and Bellapais Abbey, so I'm not going to repeat myself here. Besides there are plenty of other attractions to write about, all of which make Kyrenia a great place to stay.

Those of you with children might be interested to know where the beaches are and what facilities they offer:

* Escape beach is considered by some to be the most beautiful beach in Northern Cyprus. Just a few kilometres from the city means if you buy property in Kyrenia you will be within easy walking distance of golden sands, clear water and a range of activities to take part in. As well as having a restaurant and bar, Escape beach also offers watersports for the energetic amongst you - banana boats, jetskis, canoeing and scuba diving are a few such activities.

* Acapulco beach is one of the more popular beaches, especially with tourists. Whilst windsurfing is available here it is worth knowing that the waters carry a strong undertow here so it is not advisable for children to be left to swim alone. With this warning aside the beach comes complete with loungers, a bar and a kilometre of sand which is overlapped by shallow and clear waters.

* Alagadi beach is situated on the East side of Kyrenia, approximately 10 miles out of the city. During the Summer a bar is open for refreshments and there are toilets available too. The shallow waters make it perfect for paddling with young children.

There are also other beaches near Kyrenia, making buying property here a great investment, whether you are planning to live here yourselves, or using it as a second income through rental fees.
