Important for anyone moving to North Cyprus is the knowledge that from the end of May each year chemists on the island change their opening hours to Summertime hours. More specifically the Cyprus Turkish Pharmacists' Association made an announcement on the 19th May that pharmacies will be open between 8am and 1.30pm and then closed until 4.30pm, whereupon they are re-opened until 7.30pm. Saturday opening times are between 8am and 1.30pm. Those pharmacies on emergency duty are open until midnight. Should you buy houses for sale in North Cyprus you would be advised to seek out your local chemist and be aware of whether the summer opening times are in operation.

The second largest Nike store in Europe which opened last year in Nicosia continues to attract customers from all over the island.
